Haitian American boxer Patrick day died on Wednesday due to an injury he suffered from a fight on Saturday. He died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was only 27 years old.
His promoter Lou Dibella said Patrick Day was a son, a brother and a good friend to a lot of people. He was kind, positive and full of spirit. He was nice to everyone one.
Day was doing well throughout the fight. He was knocked out on the 10th round though which caused the injury that later killed him.
Day took his last breath in front of his family and some close friends. He was kept alive by machines which were disconnected yesterday.
