My take on the march, fol ale, manifestasyon kont trump was created by eztek

Isn’t this march a duplicitous one? As trump held, it is the rational of most of them. He just uttered it loud enough for us to hear about it. The problem is not really a being. It is the system. As a first black leader of the free world, one would think that at the very least he would honor the land that paved the way for him. Was it because they considered us a shithole country in 2010 that Obama did not visit Haiti ?

True, he inflicted pain with his statement but is that the hardest punched that landed on us? What the Clintons did in 2010 is far worse than the statement made last week. In 2016 again, under Obama’s observant they did it again.

Hmmm...I am not sure about being duplicitous if some believe that the statement made by the "most powerful man" in the world is repulsive, repugnant, vile, hate-filled, disgusting---enough of a stomach turning statement to merit a trip to the bathroom to spew a few words of protest against Trump, via the march. If not work related activities, I would love to take part. In the meanwhile, I am using social media to voice that vehement displeasure against Trump.
I may grant you your statements against Clinton, Obama, and others in the Democratic party for not being much better. I am of the firm belief that neither party has Haiti's best interest in mind. It's time that we wake up and accept that truth so we start believing in ourselves, as a people, to commence the march that progress that we are looking for. No one else will do it for us...
Nonetheless, that does not negate the logic behind today's march. This rhetoric, if not debunked, can be to our detriment.

I am cheerful that your boss, one of the tyrants barred you from such an insincere act lakay zanmi. I am pleased that I am not begging for your clemency for calling you a pretender this morning. It is ironic that you would march for something that Trump said supposedly, yet here you are at 8:07am sweating for someone who is thinking of the same thing that Trump whispered. He just said it louder.

I think the proper course of action would be to pack-up and leave. If we cannot do that, we need to suck it up and move on

You know what I come to realize, we , haitians are a bunch of hypocrites. We pretend to love Haiti, yet we suck the life out of it. We keep saying that it is a great country, we will never trade it for any other country. Yet, we do that every day. The moment you leave Haiti to come live permanently in another country and never look back, you have traded it. Haitians say the most disgusting things about Haiti. They do the most disturbing, unhuman things in Haiti, yet pretend to get upset when a stranger disrecpect Haiti. Who owns Haiti love and respect, you guys whom umbilical cord was cut and burried there or a complete stranger? During the march, I heard them asking for respect, respect is something earned not given. Nobody will respect you if you don't have any respect for youselves. Some choose to live in denial simply because they can't bear the truth that Haiti is one fucked up country. Before you come bark at me, take a minute and ask yourself these questions : why did me/ my parents have to leave all our family behind to come to the U.S? Why do I never step my foot or have fear to step my foot in my homeland? Why can't I easily say fuck that shit I am going back to live there? Why do I feel unsafe every time I go to Haiti?...Once you answer this question with the honest truth then you can come at me, if not, go sit in a corner.

I do not consider myself a deserter for leaving Haiti when I was a juvenile. I did not have a choice like many. I am not saying that I would have stayed had I reached maturity when I left. No one wants to live in calamitous.

I do agree with most of the things you said though. Some of us are real hypocrites.
